Verdict

Not one favourite in ten years and several huge-price winners says it all about this ultra-competitive handicap. Wins Now was a 20/1 chance when scoring a year ago and is 2lb lower this time after some moderate efforts. Don't be surprised by a much better show here though SERVE TIME was such an impressive winner on his first start for Paul Gilligan at Limerick last week that he gets the vote for a quick follow up. Paradis De Thaix was a fortunate winner at Tipperary and his jumping isn't always the best but Mr Bones has really taken to the bigger obstacles recently and even an 11lb rise for his latest success at Wexford is unlikely to prevent a big run. Future All Star is progressing nicely and should again have the measure of Flemross, who he beat at Kilbeggan last time while Carrigmartin shouldn't be dismissed with a big weight as his latest effort was over hurdles and he'd scored at Punchestown previously.
