Verdict

Blue White Fire just held Secretary Of State at Gowran and will make a bold bid despite his big weight but the latter's stablemate VAULT looks the one to be on as Aidan O'Brien will know how he stands. A winner at the Curragh on his debut, he had no answer to Group 2 company on the same track subsequently and finished last of five behind Lilbourne Lad. This is more like his class and he can see off recent winner Battleroftheboyne, who scrambled home in a Curragh nursery when Bahama Spirit was a close fourth, and Dark Passion, who appeared to need every yard of the mile at Bellewstown.
