CAIM HILL doesn't have the best of form figures in recent starts though he won on the Flat at Limerick last month before running over fences. He's perfectly capable of winning this at his best and is just 5lb higher than his last success over hurdles so is given the nod. Shanpallas is improving rapidly and was well on top at the finish over 2m4f at Down Royal so an extra half-mile won't be a problem. Usual Smurfer is another tackling the trip for the first time over timber but he wasn't stopping over 2m4f at Bellewstown and this should prove within his compass. Tugboat won a novice hurdle here a year ago and though not in the best of form subsequently he will have been prepared for this while recent winners Your Busy, Landero and UK raider Blackwell Synergy have to enter the reckoning in a wide-open contest.
