Verdict

This isn't much of a race but ARMY RANGER is one of the few with scope and though well beaten by Magnolia Ridge on his debut at Tipperary he'll have come on for the run and probably won't find one of the winner's calibre here. Dermot Weld trained that winner and has the filly Alkali entered here. She hasn't shown anything special but will have been targeted at the race. Beyond Berlin showed improved form at Killarney last time and should get into the argument while the useful jumper Darwins Fox was only beaten a short-head on his one start on the Flat last month. Union Dues looked a high-class bumper until beaten at Cheltenham in March so is definitely one to watch out for.
