Verdict

The presence of LUSH LASHES means that this may not be a bad renewal and she gets the nod ahead of Passage Of Time and Halfway To Heaven. Jim Bolger's heroine has proven herself over a variety of trips this season, winning the Musidora and then the Coronation Stakes last time. This daughter of Galileo will not mind the return to this trip and she is fancied to win again. Halfway To Heaven must be respected as she comes here in good form and represents the powerful Group One-winning-machine of Ballydoyle; her win in the Irish 1000 Guineas reads well. Sugar Mint was given a duff ride last time at York but is not up to this class despite the return of normal pilot Michael Hills, so of more interest may be Heaven Sent who is very reliable but like most of the older horses might just struggle to concede 9lbs to the three-year-olds. Passage Of Time won a Listed contest last time in determined fashion but this is so much harder, whilst Soft Morning and Cape Amber look just shy of this level. Muthabara could be interesting now stepped up to this trip for the first time. She has been disappointing so far this season but injury problems have hampered her season and if she is fit then she looks a big danger.
