JOHNSTOWN LAD can follow up a recent success though we expect We Have A Dream and Reject to give him plenty to think about. Daniel Loughnane's charge won well at Bath the other day and the yard have enjoyed happy times with their raids across the Irish Sea with seven winners and eight seconds from 35 runners this season. We Have A Dream is always dangerous under an easy lead. The handicapper is gradually upping the ante with another 2lb rise for a near miss at Epsom. William Haggas' season has picked up over the last few weeks so it would be wrong to reject the idea of Reject winning this. Especially as he was punted heavily at Lingfield last time out. Diddums fell foul of the non-triers rule last time. Prior to that, he had won well at the course and distance. Finnegan McCool has come down the weights somewhat having campaigned unsuccessfully off marks in the high-80's last term. Solemn has to reverse form with our selection on their Bath meeting and a draw of one is hardly ideal under the circumstances. Sophie Doyle appears to get on well with Forest Dane so an each-way interest is far from the most ridiculous betting option. Having considered the alternatives, Johnstown Lad gets the nod.
