In depth

Verdict

Poet's Word didn't get much of a run at Epsom last month and is better than the bare form suggests. Al Neksh arrives on a hat-trick after victories at Haydock and Chester while Leicester winner Sabre Squadron remains unexposed. Sixties Groove showed a nice turn of foot at Epsom and is worth a crack at this higher level but INDULGED has to be forgiven her run on desperate ground at Windsor. The well-bred Cheveley Park filly had looked to be going the right way when successful earlier at Ripon and can reverse earlier form with Poet's Word over this longer trip. Diamond Geyser is likely to be doing his best work at the finish but has a bit to find with Sabre Squadron on the form book. Cosmeapolitan could run into a place again and is preferred to Carry Me Home and Isharah of the remainder.
