Richard Hannon won this race last year, and he can do so again this time around with the hat-trick chasing DICK TURPIN, although Rakaan and Showcasing also demand respect. In a small field the draw may not be too significant, but Dick Turpin's not too far from the rail. It's a big step up in class for one of the first sons of Arakan, but a number of those he's beaten have either won or been placed. Rakaan is the second highest rated of those to have an official mark, having been third in the Coventry at Ascot. He might have done better in that but for a tardy start, which could prove costly here too. There are great expectations of him though, with a number of fancy entries. Showcasing won a Yarmouth maiden at prohibitive odds last time out following a pleasing debut, and again is destined for greater things. Buzzword's had a decent start to his career, with a second and a win to his name, both at Windsor. He's prone to hang a little to the left though. It is wide open, with these lightly raced youngsters all entitled to show continued improvement, but we'll side with Dick Turpin.
