Verdict

Military Device showed promise on his debut at Leopardstown and was taking on much better company on a return visit when showing good pace behind Galileo Rock. Henry Higgins started off over a mile then dropped to 7f before running his best race to date over 6f at the Curragh. That may be his best trip and though Newberry Hill is wearing first-time blinkers he's been looking one-paced. Akdam is related to several winners including the stable's useful Aklam but it's WHIP STORM who is taken to make a winning debut as he's a full-brother to three winners and his stable have had a superb season with juveniles.
