Verdict

Hollymount King had looked a certain future winner when runner-up to Face Value at Punchestown and must be forgiven his flop at Down Royal where he finished lame. However, he's held by One Cool Shabra on their run behind Burrenbridge Lodge here in October though the former is now penalised after scoring easily at Punchestown. Bat Masterson improved dramatically to finish runner-up to the well regarded Ut De Sivola at Clonmel and further progress will see him in the mix but the winner's trainer Willie Mullins looks to have unearthed another potential star in DARROUN. A son of Dalakhani, he cost new connections 140,000 euros after landing a minor race on the Flat in the Provinces in June and can make a winning start to his new career. Dual Flat winner Musawama couldn't overcome being impeded at Cork on his hurdling debut and can do better.
