Verdict

Aidan O'Brien took this a year ago with Jan Vermeer and LONG LIVE THE KING will be at short odds to repeat the process. A son of Galileo out of a 1m2f Listed winner, he caught the eye when runner-up to A Word Apart at Leopardstown and will be very much at home over this extra furlong. Stablemate First Sea Lord is certain to improve from his opening run behind Oracle at the Curragh though not enough to take care of Long Live The King on this occasion. Tiz The Shot made a decent start over today's trip at Listowel and didn't appreciate dropping back to 7f behind High Ruler at Roscommon. Final Recovery has shown a little promise but of more interest is the John Oxx-trained newcomer Adilapour, a son of Azamour out of a 1m4f winner.
