    Verdict

Guto has every chance on official ratings but Kevin Ryan's gelding has not been in good form of late so may be best watched and a safer bet looks to be Chookie Heiton, with Yorkshire Blue rated the pick of the remainder. The selection never threatened in the Great St Wilfred at Ripon last time but may be worth a chance taking a big drop in class today so gets the vote in this moderate company. Brut has been running creditably in handicaps of late but needs to improve to trouble Ian Semple's gelding, while Gifted Heir is probably better over further. Regal Raider is, like the selection, trained by Ian Semple but the booking of Tom Eaves for Chookie Heiton suggests that the last mentioned is the better fancied of the pair. Razzano finally came good when successful in a maiden handicap at Brighton last time but this looks tougher and a bigger threat is likely to come from Yorkshire Blue, who is better than his run here on Friday would suggest. Chookie Heiton takes a big drop in class though and is taken to give weight away all round.
