    Verdict

Not much public form to go on here but High Alert is taken to get the better of Tiger Goddess and Battle Royal. The selection sets the standard of those with racecourse experience as he scored impressively on his debut at Lingfield when he beat Fullback. It is a slight concern that he wore blinkers for his racecourse bow but nonethleless he did the job nicely and with this slight step-up in trip looking sure to suit he can go close. Tiger Goddess was only beaten a nose at Kempton last time, but that was over 7f and it is debateable whether the extra yardage today will play to her strengths. Battle Royal hails from a yard that have got a good strike-rate with their 2-year-olds this season so he is certainly worth a market check on his debut. Rising Prospect won on his debut at York, but that was on heavy ground so it will be interesting to see how he gets on today. A fascinating contest and the vote is given to High Alert.
