    Verdict

None of these have any recent form to recommend them and punters are left guessing who will either return to their best or improve on what they've shown so far. DEEP APPLAUSE gets a tentative vote to do the latter as he's 4lb lower than when fourth at Newcastle last month and Michael Dods' has a good strike rate with his three-year-olds at this track. Inside and The Nifty Duchess are others who looks capable of better, while Fibresand winner Geronimo Chief should improve on his previous efforts on turf.
