      Verdict

The choice here is the Richard Fahey trained Rainbow Bay who is taken to defy a six pound penalty for his victory at Ayr just over a week ago. He deserved that win, having been a little unlucky on a couple of previous occasions. Those who may trouble him are the Kevin Ryan trained Westport, who has only had the three outings and having won at Southwell in February, then ran a decent race to be sixth to Easy Air at Lingfield in April. He would need to improve to win this contest. Ian Semple's John Keats ridden by Tom Eaves won at Pontefract last October and then ran a very good second on his second outing this term behind Borehan at Haydock. He has a decent chance here. Alan Swinbank's The Terrier can only improve for her first outing this season, a good third behind Greek Secret at Thirsk. However the selection has to be Rainbow Bay to give Richard Fahey another winner.
