        Verdict

        Khandaq finished a bit closer last time but has plenty to prove over today's longer trip likewise Harare. The latter never looked liked winning at Wolverhampton on Monday despite having recorded a double in May. It's impossible to make a serious case for any of the remainder who are all badly out of sorts with the exception of LADY GARGOYLE. She posted her best effort so far when fourth over today's distance at Ripon a fortnight ago and Jim Goldie's filly does at least have some scope for further progress.
