Verdict

Just four runners contest this classified event and we expect Albashoosh to return to winning ways, with Bundy and Fonthill Boy set to fight out the forecast place. The Dandy Nicholls trained six-year-old landed a Pontefract handicap off a mark of 63 earlier this month before finishing just four lengths behind Silver Mascot under a six pound penalty. He is well in on official ratings and will prove difficult to beat. Bundy hasn't won for a while but showed his time wasn't far away when finishing second behind Legal Set over course and distance last week. Meanwhile Fonthill Road finished behind Bundy when they met here earlier in the month and should get a lot closer at today's weights. The field is made up by Friar Tuck, who has a squeak on his best form but is in the doldrums at present. Tactics may play a big role here, but in a race where bets should be kept to a minimum, Albashoosh just gets the nod
