Blue Dagger can break his maiden tag here at the expense of Kingswinford and Smalljohn. The selection ran an eye catching fourth of eleven at Carlisle on his debut running a little green in the process. With that run under his belt and this drop in grade he is sure to enter the frame here. Kingswinford is winless after seven starts. He was out classed at Ascot in a Listed contest and is best judged on his earlier performances in maiden company at Chepstow when staying on for a moderate fourth on both outings their. Experience is on his side and he is now dropped to a grade where he is respected but he now looks a little exposed on what he has achieved. Smalljohn has winning form in this grade at York last time out. It was his first run in selling company and he took advantage of that and is again given respect so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to Blue Dagger.
