    Verdict

An interesting maiden in which we will plump for Turks Wood ahead of Throw The Dice, Admittance, Middle Eastern, Phlaunt and Grandos. The selection showed reasonable form when fourth behind Indiannie Star at Lingfield over five furlongs on his debut in May and that form certainly stands up to inspection here. Others of interest are Grandos, who cost 37,000 guineas, Phantom Sky, who is from the family as Lochsong, Middle Eastern, who is surely better than his debut run might have suggested, Throw The Dice, who was second over course and distance on his debut and the sixth has won since, Admittance, who stayed on late at Doncaster on his debut, and Phlaunt, whose debut run has worked out well. Overall, though, we are happy to side with Turks Wood.
