In depth

Verdict

Viewforth has been in the form of his life of late and is taken to complete a quick hat trick at the main expense of another last time out winner Ballybunion and the consistent pair of Connect and Henry Hall. The selection, a winner here over six furlongs and at Beverley over the minimum trip on his last two starts has gone up another 8lbs for his latest success but there is no reason why the Ian Williams-trained gelding cannot win again. Henry Hall has been a model of consistency and will undoubtedly run his usual good race but probably needs some help from the handicapper now, as does Connect. Milton Bradley's runners in sprint handicaps always warrant respect so the likes of Salviati and Whistler are worthy of a mention. Catterick classified stakes winner Ballybunion, stable mate Blackheath and the evergreen nine-year-old Dancing Mystery are others to keep an eye on but Viewforth has obvious claims and gets the vote.
