Verdict

BOX OF FROGS doesn't represent a sexy stable (no offence Alan although Marie is a different matter) but her first run at Nottingham was full of promise and she can see off Colourful Past and Fork Handles in an intriguing maiden. This One Cool Cat filly was fourth behind Inagh River on debut and that horse has franked the form by running exceedingly well in defeat since in a quality Newbury Conditions' race. The selection was green on debut but then ran on well at the line and with this extra distance in her favour she is fancied to run a big race and put her experience to good use. Cerejeira represents a yard that does well at the track and have broken some of their best youngsters in here. This Exceed And Excel filly is from a good sprinting family and a bold run would come as no real surprise. Colourful Past is a half-sister to First Celebration and is really bred to make up into more of a three-year-old miler. The youngsters don't have a choice over what trip to start over if they are quick to come to hand and therefore she is hard to really fancy today, despite the good record of Godolphin at the track. Fork Handles is well-named she is considered, although there are a couple of points that go against her. Firstly, all of the yard's juveniles have improved markedly for their first run this year and secondly her pedigree is a hotchpotch of speed and stamina, with perhaps a leaning towards the latter. An intriguing maiden then but we fancy Box Of Frogs to put her experience to good use and prevail.
