VINSTAR arrived from France with a big reputation and had no problems justifying it with an impressive victory at Carlisle where he made all in the very heavy ground. He's handed the vote over another French import Varom, who battled to a short-head victory in the Provinces and has a pedigree more in keeping with a staying chaser. Kettlewell didn't run badly behind Vinstar at Carlisle but is unlikely to reverse the form and the market should prove the best guide to the chances of the newcomers with the Street Cry gelding Goohar having more pace in his pedigree than most. Runswick Royal may prove best of the remainder.
