Esme Rides A Gaine is on familiar ground but it's almost five years since the mare last won in this grade and she'll carry overweight today. Twice Lucky has only managed one victory in 23 starts over fences and is always a risky proposition but Outlaw Tom came back to form when beating today's rival Almond Court by 12 lengths over track and trip last month and should go well again. SNUKER has twice run poorly at Sedgefield since the turn of the year but his record at other northern tracks is decent enough and this looks within his capabilities. He's more consistent than Solis and Beau Dandy.
