Verdict

Follow On won well enough over course and distance two starts ago but struggled off his new mark at Perth subsequently and is likely to do so again in a race taken to go MORE EQUITY, who gets the verdict ahead of Run Forest Run. Karen McLintock's gelding was good value for his win at Sedgefield two starts ago and was not disgraced off his new mark at Kelso subsequently so he has to be respected but may have to settle for minor honours. There is little to choose between Rexmehead and Mr Midaz on their recent form and both have to be considered off their respective light weights. Hawkwell is only 4lbs higher than when scoring in a novices' handicap here a year ago so has to be considered but Nicky Richards has been struggling to have winners of late so he may be best watched and preference is for More Equity. Peter Monteith's mare is better than she showed on a softer surface at Perth last time and she looks worth supporting back on faster ground today.
