Mangonel bounced back from a poor run at Uttoxeter to win easily on heavy ground at Folkestone earlier this month. Jim Best's mare has been a reformed character this season but the penalty may be difficult to overcome in this more competitive affair. Pampelonne's close second to Share Option at Bangor last month was boosted when the winner followed up over fences at Leicester earlier this week, but Flora's Pride still looks too high in the weights and is now blinkered while White Diamond has been well beaten since scoring at Fakenham on her reappearance. Galloping Queen couldn't justify favouritism in an ordinary novice event at Leicester last time, while Dane Cottage is struggling to get her head in front over timber. DREAMBROOK LADY is also still a maiden but she looked to be getting of things when fourth at Hereford last month and could be well treated here on that showing - she gets the vote.
