In depth

Verdict

Double Gem, Sunley Future and Majestic Class are all shortlisted in this maiden hurdle and the vote is given to Double Gem. The selection has shown plenty of promise in each of the four bumpers that he has contested to date and providing his hurdling is up to speed on his first attempt over the obstacles then he should take plenty of beating. Sunley Future is interesting here but his yard is not firing at present and on that basis we will take him on. Majestic Class is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but he was very disappointing in a bumper last time and will need to improve significantly to get competitive here. Tass Heel was quite useful on the flat and he is another to note on his hurdling debut, but for the winner we will stick with Double Gem.
