In depth

Verdict

BREAKING SILENCE has plenty of stamina and is starting to edge down the weights. Alan Berry knows him well and can steer Jonjo O'Neill's gelding to an overdue victory over this marathon trip. Getmeoutofthedoldrums tackles fences for the first time under Rules and has to go on the short-list having finished second over 3m3f over hurdles at Fontwell last time, but Spring Moon is flattered by recent form figures and may be one to avoid at present. It's a while since Call At Midnight showed any worthwhile form but she's still preferred to Moon Melody and Kercabellec as the latter pair are racing from out of the handicap proper.
