    Verdict

Herne Bay finished well ahead of the disappointing Kristallo at Southwell earlier this month and should confirm that running here. Carrickmines and Pheidias may be back over fences soon but Lady Karabaya could go well as she ran her best race so far when third at Fontwell last month and Carmela Maria would have place claims. IRIS'S FLYER is 5lb higher than when only beaten a head over C&D last time but still has the beating of Go Amwell on that run and is at the top of his game. Barry Leavy's grey is the one to beat again today.
