In depth

Verdict

First time is often the right time to catch a Dan Skelton runner and that could well be the case with Kitchapoly. He hasn't ran at all badly in three starts since joining the yard and has been given a pretty lengthy rest by the in-form handler. He could well oblige but VODKA WELLS (NAP) really impressed when coming home an easy and well-backed winner at Hexham last time for the increasingly impressive Rebecca Menzies. He's inevitably been hit with a 9lb rise by the assessor but might just be good enough to defy that punishment. Deauville Dancer and Jackthejourneyman are consistent sorts but will have to improve to deal with the pair at the head of the weights on recent evidence.
