In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Middleton Dene, Crocadile Dundee and Storm Prospect and the narrow vote is given to the last named. The selection won well on his debut when beating Flying Doctor with plenty in hand. He looks sure to improve and under conditions that suit he looks the value bet. Middleton Dene rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Neutron, this looks tougher and his overall profile leaves him with a little to find. Chief Scout ran well on his debut but looked a doubtful stayer. Crocadile Dundee was a fair second on his debut behind Leslingtaylor and is sure to improve, but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Of the remainder, Stoneriggs Silver will be seen to better effect in handicap company and for the winner we return to Storm Prospect.
