Verdict

WARBROOK wasn't fancied on his Newmarket debut but did well to get within a couple of lengths of Idder and that experience can enable him to take this. John Gosden also runs the debutant Western Hymn, a High Chaparral colt who is bred for racing on this surface being out of the two-year-old all-weather winner Blue Nova. Roskilly showed his liking for this track and trip with a much-improved run behind Marzocco and a similar effort must see him in the frame while New Colours completely missed the break at Southwell but caught the eye staying on into fourth. Mairise will make progress from his run here three weeks ago while there are several newcomers to keep an eye on including Damascene, a half-brother to two winners.
