        In depth

        Verdict

        A tricky affair with plenty open to improvement and preferred to the more exposed types such as Oscars Journey, Bosham and Lucky Di. SMOKETHATTHUNDERS ticks a few boxes as he found only one too good over track and trip last time with El Mirage back in third - a 3lb rise may not be enough to prevent him going one better. Scala Romana and Blue Twister have a bit more to find to get involved but are not easily dismissed and Broughtons Charm isn't out of this either as he makes a belated seasonal debut.
