Azygous is 8lb better off for a 7l beating by Dodaa and taking into account that he can be expected to come on for that outing, his first for 105 days, he can be taken to reverse the form with that rival and land the opener with Hollow Jo, Monte Major and Overstayed others that should be involved. Dodaa has since been beaten at Southwell when reportedly not suited to the deeper fibresand surface but has gone up a total of 14lb since his win over course and distance so on that score is opposed. The veteran Hollow Jo reserves his best for this circuit and is over a trip that he is most effective at. He could find one or two too good but is an obvious candidate for the placings along with Monte Major, who has had an easy winter but is an admirable performer. Overstayed reserves his best for here and bounced back to form recently while his usual blinkers are not applied today. Jamie Spencer is an interesting booking for Expensive Art who connections pitched into a listed contest on his final outing last year and market support should be noted. Azygous is the nomination to land the opener.
