      Verdict

Palmerin, Kal Barg and Tension Mounts make most appeal in this trappy contest and we will side with Palmerin to lead them home. The selection has only had the three runs but he got his head in front over this course and distance last time and he looks the type that will improve more with his racing. The slight drop in trip is a worry as he may be better over further in time but he still sets a decent benchmark. Kal Barg is an obvious alternative as this colt showed plenty of promise on his debut at Thirsk and as he was denied a clear run that day he could be seen in a better light here. Tension Mounts chased home Copwriter on his debut here and this colt will not be far away if he improves for that introduction to the racecourse. John Gosden's Prohibit is an interesting newcomer who should be noted in the market, but Palmerin won well last time and can score again.
