    Verdict

Barachiel is facing a tougher task than when scoring over track and trip a fortnight ago and the same comment applies to Arashi, who won a lower grade race here last time. Ascalon went close over course and distance on his latest start but that was back in November and Fulgora remains as unreliable as ever after throwing in another bad one at Lingfield last time. The latter was tailed off on that occasion behind the third Joe The Coat and runner-up STORY WRITER. Bill Knight's charge just failed to catch the winner and Ryan Moore's presence in the saddle suggests he's expected to go one better in this.
