Verdict

Spartan Spirit scored over the C&D in March and is 12lb higher. He's only run three times since and showed that another victory was imminent at Warwick last time and, with Richard Hughes on board, looks sure to go close. Brigadoon has yet to win on Polytrack but he's gone very close on occasions and has now dropped to a fair mark. With his excellent young rider's claim taken into account he has to be a threat. Hurricane Hymnbook was only beaten a length from this mark over the C&D in January and all of his recent runs have been on Turf, including over hurdles. TILSWORTH GLENBOY won twice on ground with plenty of give in May and hasn't scored in ten starts on Polytrack. However, he's been running well in better company on Turf recently and this looks his opportunity to lose that all-weather maiden tag.
