Verdict

Joss Stick a course and distance winner back in April is the pick to land the opener at the main expense of Fabuleux Cherie, Wynberg and Brandywell Boy. Although 4lb higher than when winning last time, the selection returned to something like his old form at Bath but looks more effective on the all-weather and has an ideal draw in box four. Fabeleux Cherie returned from an absence last time and was not disgraced when one takes that into consideration. She is a winner on the Polytrack at both Wolverhampton and Lingfield while Wynberg has received some leniency from the assessor and is suited by the quick nature of this track. Brandywell Boy has place claims but the worry would be that he may get taken off his feet in the early stages here. Desert Opal has slipped down the ratings but is well handicapped on the best of his form while Really Really Wish returned from a break last time but broke her maiden tag over course and distance and should the market speak in her favour she should be watched. A competitive opener and Joss Stick can land it.
