In depth

Verdict

CULLENTRY ROYAL never figured in the Irish Cesarewitch last month but has an easier task here. He'd been in fine form earlier landing a double over 1m6f and beat a couple of subsequent winners at Bellewstown in August. John Levins' charge is preferred to Masterful Act, an easy winner at Southwell last time but yet to win at any other track. Shelford has scope to improve but will need to as he steps up in class and Arch Villain came up short in similar company at Ascot last time. Be Perfect has a shout off a 6lb higher mark than when scoring at York but Perennial may struggle having only won a claimer at Wolverhampton last time.
