In depth

Verdict

This is a competitive race to open the card and the vote goes to Lindbergh over Sir Loin and Thoughtsofstardom. The selection won well in a good time when beating Tilsworth Charlie here in a handicap last week and with this drop in trip not expected to inconvenience him he can go in again. Sir Loin was a narrow margin winner over this course and distance last time when he got the better of Kempsey. He gets on well with his young rider Ross Atkinson and from a fair draw he can go well. Thoughtsofstardom will be suited by the return to the minimum trip as all 5 of his career wins have come over this distance. With this in mind he is clearly in good form as he went close over 6f last time at Lingfield behind Musical Script. He hails from a shrewd yard so a watching brief on the market is advised. Twinned is another with claims, although the draw could have been kinder. This looks a tight race and the vote goes to Lindberg.
