In depth

Verdict

More competitive fare, however we will side with Generator to complete the hat-trick, at the main expense of Grand Palace and Takitwo. The selection landed two contests over course and distance late last year and must have solid claims today despite a 5lb raise for his latest win. He wasn't overly extended to win that day and he looks more than capable of adding at least one more to his tally. Jockey Joe Fanning will have him in the right place at the right time and he gets the nod. Takitwo should have come on for his last run over an extra furlong here and he may appreciate the drop in trip. He has place claims, along with Sir Douglas who still looks relatively unexposed. Grand Palace is arguably better going left-handed however he has run with credit at the course in the past so should run his race. At a price Jane Chapple-Hyam's Methaaly could go well, however we will return to hat-trick seeking Generator to power home once again.
