In depth

Verdict

Premio Loco was winning Group races not so long ago and has an entry in the Winter Derby. He may just be short of his peak and has a penalty to concede so EMELL, who has only performed at Listed level since landing a two-year-old maiden, looks the one to be on before heading to Doncaster for the Lincoln. The Rectifier had a fine summer and won twice including a strong handicap at York. He hasn't been seen since a moderate effort in the Cambridgeshire but has won on the surface and must be a threat. Georgian Bay has fitness on his side but didn't run well at Lingfield last month. Don't Call Me has been competing at a high level for a long time and is no forlorn hope in a tricky little race.
