Verdict

Santeverti looks the answer in this weak looking contest, Sir Liam and Travelling Fox could be the main rivals. The selection was unfancied for his recent Lingfield debut but ran a blinder to finish a close up fifth behind Surrey Spinner. There were some decent enough types behind in that contest and with improvement guaranteed he looks to have very strong claims in this contest. Sir Liam disappointed on his final run of last season, but it may have been due to the soft conditions. He had earlier chased home Roodolph in a decent enough Folkestone maiden and a repeat of that effort on his all-weather debut should see him in the shake up. Travelling Fox showed little in two maidens last season but is niceley bred and hails from a very shrewd yard, the market should guide as to his fitness. The others make little appeal and so we return to Santeverti as the likely winner.
