Verdict

Soft ground would not have been ideal for LA BAGUE AU ROI at Wetherby so she did well to out-battle Lady Buttons, who has won easily since over fences. Warren Greatrex’ mare looks set for another successful season and is well worth a try over 3m on a track like this having beaten Treackle Tart over 2m4f at Huntingdon in April conceding 12lb. Morello Royale won this two years ago but has been chasing lately. Midnight Tour ran well under a big weight at Bangor on her reappearance and will strip fitter here, as will Rons Dream who found 2m far too short at Haydock. Jer's Girl travelled strongly for a long way behind Apple’s Jade in a Grade 2 at Navan and won a couple of Grade 1 races last year so is a threat to all if she stays.
