Verdict

Killena Boy gets the vote in the closing race, with Puya and Rowan Lodge possibly the ones to prove best of the rest. Davenport is not ruled out of a good run from his current rating, even though he can start slowly. On his best form, Outer Hebrides can be given a shout too, although you could not be confident that he¿ll show it. However, Killena Boy caught the eye behind him last time over a shorter trip and, at this longer distance, very much catches the eye in the finale. The lightly raced Puya has certainly shown enough to be considered over this longer new trip today, and Hits Only Heaven was behind him there. Jamie Spenser has won on Call Me Max in the past, and the horse is entitled to respect from his current rating, while Rowan Lodge ran well at Sandown last time and first-time blinkers could bring about some more improvement and Glencalvie¿s Goodwood run last time gives him a chance. Finally, Patrick Chamings¿ horses have been running well here so Overlord Way can¿t be ruled out over today¿s longer trip, and Red Contact has form enough to be given an each-way shout. Overall, though, we will stick with Killena Boy.
