Verdict

Supreme Doc went up 7lb for his victory over the C&D in June and ran well enough in two subsequent starts to start favourite at Galway last week. Unfortunately for supporters he unshipped his rider at the first and though compensation will be expected he's 16lb higher than for his victory. Liberty Counsel hasn't had much experience over fences but has still managed to win twice including over a longer trip here. She can go well but ONZO MOR looks the one to be on. Denis Cullen's charge hasn't won since landing a handicap on soft ground in September but has been competing on faster ground than he would have liked and ran well over hurdles at Limerick last month. Paul Townend is a positive booking and his mount looks well enough treated for this. Darenjan was beaten a long way on both starts at Galway so the main threat may arrive in the shape of Mahrajaan, who hasn't had much racing recently and ran very well behind His Excellency at Killarney last month.
