In depth

Verdict

St Maxime has already won twice this month though both victories were over fences at Perth. She's 8lb lower over timber so has to be a threat to all with her regular pilot able to claim his 7lb allowance. Le Grand Chene is also better known as a chaser these days but was sent to Perth for a handicap hurdle last time and was just denied. He should make a bold bid but it's yet another chaser, DEDOCTORSDAUGHTER, who looks the one to be on. Denis Hogan's mare was just caught over the course and distance by tonight's rival Dunroe Boy last month and with a slight weight advantage is expected to hang on this time. Udo's Choice would have an obvious chance after just being touched off at Bellewstown though he's still a maiden after 20 career starts.
