THOMASGAINSBOROUGH is unlikely to be a stable star but won over this trip as a juvenile at Leopardstown. He didn't appear to enjoy the heavy going in the Derby Trial at Epsom and today's shorter trip and better going can enable him to return to winning ways. Croi An Or couldn't quite get to Backbench Blues at Naas and that form doesn't look good enough while Angel Bright was beaten in a moderate handicap on her final juvenile start and will need to have made great strides during the winter. Danequest is a consistent handicapper who could provide the main threat despite being raised 3lb for being beaten on his last two starts.
