Verdict

King Of Aragon has disappointed in his most recent starts on the Flat and over hurdles and hasn't looked a natural jumper. Winning bumper PATEEN made a bright start over hurdles at Roscommon where he led for most of the way until passed by Hallmark. He can go one better on ground that should be slightly quicker. Rock Lobster ran very well for third in a big field at Cork and started favourite for a Ballinrobe maiden next time but dropped away very quickly after being up with the pace. The Last Marju has shown potential while D'pinesflyer looked a certain future winner with placed efforts here and at Cork but then ran moderately at Galway. Scorpy was a 100/1 chance on his hurdling bow at Cork but belied the odds with a very encouraging run.
