Verdict

Blaeberry is in good heart at present and gets the vote here ahead of Mount Vettore and Danifah, although if there is any market support for the Stuart Williams-trained Bob's Buzz then it would be foolish to ignore it. But our selection has been running consistently well and put up a good effort last time when narrowly beaten by Sharp Needle over a mile at Redcar last time. The drop back to 7 furlongs will certainly suit here and he looks the one they all have to beat. Mount Vettore looked like he might be returning to form when he ran on strongly when sixth behind African Sahara at Redcar last time. With this in mind it seems strange that connections have decided to drop him back to 7 furlongs, but he has clearly got a decent chance of making the frame. Danifah continued his recent good form with a solid effort last time in a competitive handicap when finishing third behind Chimali at Lingfield over 6 furlongs. The extra furlong here will not be a problem and he should again run his race. However, in an open race we will return to Blaeberry who has plenty in his favour and looks the one to beat.
