In depth

Verdict

PRIVATE EQUITY's jumping was a little sketchy on his chase debut at Doncaster but he kept on well enough and finished ahead of a couple of decent novices. A clear round here should see Nicky Henderson's five-year-old go one better. El Dancer once won a Grade 2 hurdle but his career over fences has been a little stop-start and this will be his first run over the larger obstacles for 15 months. Mr Gee Jay is probably the most interesting of the others but has finished tailed off in two runs over hurdles.
